The walking tour of the Mountain View Cemetery was one of my favourite walking tours in Vancouver. I appreciated learning how Jewish, Japanese and Chinese communities each faced their own at times overlapping struggles in this city. More importantly I learned how each has contributed immensely to the city we know today. As death is something we all will experience, it was enlightening to hear how the communities works with death and processes the loss of our loved ones which is something I don’t think is talked about in our society today.
